Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Today I had the privilege of counting cash from the various people who were walking in Bakersfield's 2008 Walk to Cure Diabetes. Along with me, I was able to convince my friends Michael Moore, Robert Perl, Jenna Layne, Samuel Yang, and Kimi Ramos to join me. All in all, it was a rather good experience. One volunteer from my work joined us as well, Vivian. There were also three volunteers from Wells Fargo and one other from West Coast Lending (I think that's where she worked.)

Though we asked people to be there around 8:00 AM, we didn't actually have any cash to count until some cash arrived around 9:00 AM or so. It was a lot of money to count, but through the efforts of the aforementioned volunteers we were able to get everything done. I'm not sure how much was raised in total, but it was well worth it.
